What it covers

• Injury to a client or member of the public at your salon, in your van or at their home
• Damage to a customer's property while you are working
• Legal defence costs and compensation awarded against you
• Products liability for shampoos, sprays and other products you supply

Limits

• £1,000,000 as standard
• Higher limits up to £10,000,000 available where a contract or landlord requires it

Who needs it

Any groomer who has clients, visitors, a landlord or a commercial site agreement. Many salon leases and event organisers set a minimum limit — check before you sign.
